Pinguicula gigantea red is a tropical butterwort that turns red or brownish under intense light and can reach 6-8 inches with proper care. The plant you receive will resemble the photos; some plants are greener, but under strong light they develop pinkish or reddish tones.
Plants are shipped bare root in a plastic container to protect them. They are sent on Mondays and Wednesdays to avoid weekend cutoffs. Each plant is about 1 inch in diameter. The plant has been grown under LED lights with daytime temperatures around 75-80°F and nighttime temperatures around 55-70°F. A heating pack is strongly recommended for winter, with one pack per order.

Good solution. The little flies have disappeared. We were sure to mist/moisten the surface of each plant once a day for 4 or 5 days, after the initial application of the nematodes, to keep the little guys mobile and able to get to any remaining eggs. So, go for it!

My new babay arrived safely and only lost two little leaves so far. The first one I ordered from different shop arrived with two leaves attached that fell off within ten minutes of unboxing and 22 leaves that had came off during shipping. So glad she arrived looking as beautiful as i was hoping. Also had a surprise red arrow syngonium cutting that’s beautiful. Also customer service was amazing. Will definitely order from them again.
