Meet Pinguicula emarginata x Huahuapan, a carnivorous butterwort. The plants in the photos are representative; you will receive a similar plant. They are not flowering at the moment, and flower variations are present since these pings are seed grown. The plants ship bare root in a plastic container to protect them, and orders are sent on Mondays and Wednesdays to avoid weekend cutoffs. Each plant measures about 1 inch in diameter.
Care basics include bright, indirect light from a sunny windowsill, a T5 fixture, or LED lights. Potting medium is Mexican Pinguicula mix. Feed every 3–4 weeks with fish food or bugs. Keep the soil moist and maintain humidity between 50% and 80%. Temperature should stay between 55 and 85°F. Mature plants reach about 2–4 inches, depending on care. Dormancy is none, though plants may enter a succulent state during winter if temperatures drop. For winter transit, a heating pack is strongly recommended; one heating pack per order is enough.
