Pinguicula 'Aphrodite' is a carnivorous butterwort plant. Each order arrives as a bare-root plant in a plastic container and measures 1–2 inches in diameter; mature plants reach 3–4 inches with proper care. The photos are representative; you’ll receive a similar plant that is not flowering. Color varies: some plants are greener now but may turn reddish under intense light. Potting medium is Mexican Pinguicula soil mix. Bright light from a sunny windowsill, T5, or LED is recommended.
Water the soil to stay moist and maintain 50–80% humidity, with a temperature range of 55–85°F. Feed every 3–4 weeks with fish food or bugs. The plant has no dormancy in typical conditions, though it may enter a succulent state during winter depending on temperatures. The plant size at maturity is 3–4 inches. Shipping occurs Monday and Wednesday to avoid weekend cutoff, and a heating pack is recommended in winter to protect against cold during transit; one heating pack per order is sufficient.
