Originating from seedlings planted around 1860, this variety is the oldest cultivated citrus in Florida and is renowned for its juicy flesh, bright color, and exceptional taste.
The tree is thornless and highly productive, with cold hardiness to 26 degrees. It matures mid-season and yields rich, sweet fruit. The fruit is medium to large, with a smooth, thin, bright orange skin that's easy to peel; the flesh is rich orange, juicy, and sweet, with a distinct pineapple hint and mostly seedless. Leaves are dark green, glossy, evergreen, and release a fresh citrus scent when crushed. My new babay arrived safely and only lost two little leaves so far. The first one I ordered from different shop arrived with two leaves attached that fell off within ten minutes of unboxing and 22 leaves that had came off during shipping. So glad she arrived looking as beautiful as i was hoping. Also had a surprise red arrow syngonium cutting that’s beautiful. Also customer service was amazing. Will definitely order from them again.
