The Osage Orange Tree, Maclura pomifera, is a deciduous species native to the central and southern United States. It grows 30–50 feet tall, with thick, furrowed bark and glossy green leaves that turn yellow in autumn.
Famous for hedge apples, the fruit is 4–6 inches in diameter, bright green, and rough; it is not a true orange. The tree is hardy and drought resistant, thriving in well-drained soil with full sun, and hardy in USDA zones 4–9. Osage Orange wood—often called Bow Wood—was used for bows and today for fence posts due to durability and rot resistance. In late spring, it bears inconspicuous greenish-yellow flowers; the tree is dioecious, with separate male and female trees. The fruit is not eaten by humans due to bitter taste and milky sap.

My new babay arrived safely and only lost two little leaves so far. The first one I ordered from different shop arrived with two leaves attached that fell off within ten minutes of unboxing and 22 leaves that had came off during shipping. So glad she arrived looking as beautiful as i was hoping. Also had a surprise red arrow syngonium cutting that’s beautiful. Also customer service was amazing. Will definitely order from them again.
