Organic Jiffy 7 Peat Pellets for Seed Starting are biodegradable peat pellets made of sphagnum peat moss. They provide abundant aeration, uniform drainage, and easy root penetration.
The compact pellets swell with water to form round pre-dibbled growing pots. The peat is held together by a biodegradable mesh net and can be transplanted with the seedling when roots push through the netting; this minimizes transplant shock because the entire pot can be planted without disturbing the roots. Expanded dimensions are 1-3/16 inches in diameter and 1-7/16 inches high.

My new babay arrived safely and only lost two little leaves so far. The first one I ordered from different shop arrived with two leaves attached that fell off within ten minutes of unboxing and 22 leaves that had came off during shipping.
