The Hippopotamus Ornament by Old World Christmas depicts a creature known as the third largest land animal and native to Africa. Its name comes from the Greek words hippos meaning horse and patos meaning river, and its cries sound similar to a horse’s neighing. Hippos spend much of their time in the water.
Produced in an age-old tradition dating to the 1800s, the ornament begins with molten glass that is mouth-blown into finely carved molds made exclusively for Old World Christmas. Each piece is hand-painted and glittered through a series of labor-intensive steps to achieve its finish. Traditionally designed, this is a hand-crafted ornament.

My new babay arrived safely and only lost two little leaves so far. The first one I ordered from different shop arrived with two leaves attached that fell off within ten minutes of unboxing and 22 leaves that had came off during shipping. So glad she arrived looking as beautiful as i was hoping. Also had a surprise red arrow syngonium cutting that’s beautiful. Also customer service was amazing. Will definitely order from them again.
