The Drum collection, in collaboration with Christopher Merchant, was inspired by images captured by Bernd and Hilla Becher of revolutionary technology, as well as highly ordered natural formations—mushroom gills, flower petals, and refracted light. Christopher Merchant sought to combine these inspirations in a classic lamp profile while expressing the unique character and capabilities of 3D printing.
Designed to translate 3D printing's character and capabilities into a functional lighting piece, the Cordless Drum Lamp by Christopher Merchant continues the Drum collection's fusion of Becher-inspired technology imagery and nature-inspired geometry. My new babay arrived safely and only lost two little leaves so far. The first one I ordered from different shop arrived with two leaves attached that fell off within ten minutes of unboxing and 22 leaves that had came off during shipping. So glad she arrived looking as beautiful as i was hoping. Also had a surprise red arrow syngonium cutting that’s beautiful. Also customer service was amazing. Will definitely order from them again. Hoghly recommend this shop.
