Organic Marketmore 76 Cucumber seeds offer a reliable, productive variety with straight, uniform fruit. Fruits measure 8-9 inches long with dark green, tender skin and crisp flesh. The vines thrive in full sun and well-draining soil and are compact and productive, well suited to trellising to save space in small gardens. It matures in about 60-70 days and is resistant to powdery mildew and cucumber mosaic virus.
Fruit is 8-9 inches long and 2-2.5 inches in diameter, with a blocky shape that tapers at both ends and white spines with no stippling. Suited for home gardens or markets in cool climate areas. For planting, sow 6-7 seeds per hill, thinning to 3 vines; space 18 inches apart if trellised, 36 inches if left to sprawl. Start indoors 10-14 days before the last frost or sow directly when soil is 70°F or warmer; germination 3-10 days; planting depth 1/2 inch. Height at maturity: 1-4 feet; days to maturity: 58-75. My new babay arrived safely and only lost two little leaves so far. The first one I ordered from different shop arrived with two leaves attached that fell off within ten minutes of unboxing and 22 leaves that had came off during shipping.
