Jerusalem Artichoke Plant ( Helianthus tubersosus), also known as Sunchoke, grows with a tall, sunflower-like presence above ground and large, edible tubers below. The tubers are nutritious and can be prepared like other root vegetables, with a distinctly artichoke-like flavor, though they are not a true artichoke. Hence the nickname, Sunchoke (Sunflower + Artichoke!).
Growing Jerusalem artichoke is best with minimal coddling; they grow effortlessly once established, are fast-growing and drought-resistant, and thrive in hot summers. They spread quickly through rhizomes and can return year after year. They also grow well in containers.

My new babay arrived safely and only lost two little leaves so far. The first one I ordered from different shop arrived with two leaves attached that fell off within ten minutes of unboxing and 22 leaves that had came off during shipping.
