This showy, dense, dwarf shrub displays orange-red single flowers early, followed by bright orange-red ornamental fruit. It is suitable for containers or the garden, and it serves as a bonsai specimen.
Seed germination occurs at room temperature in about 30–40 days; an 80°F propagator mat can halve this time. Keep soil moist, not wet, to prevent seed rot; mist until the surface is moist. The Nana variety is described as a dwarf pomegranate that grows to 3–4 feet tall, suitable for hedges, containers, and bonsai. It blooms orange and red in summer, with golden yellow in fall; fruit production is smaller with a different taste.

My new babay arrived safely and only lost two little leaves so far. The first one I ordered from different shop arrived with two leaves attached that fell off within ten minutes of unboxing and 22 leaves that had came off during shipping.
