This compact, showy shrub greets with orange-red single flowers at an early age, followed by bright orange-red ornamental fruit. It is well suited for containers or garden beds and can be an impressive bonsai specimen. The Nana variety is described as a dwarf pomegranate, growing to 3–4 feet tall, making it suitable for landscape hedges, containers, and bonsai.
Seeds germinate at normal room temperature in 30–40 days, though using a heated propagator mat at 80 degrees can halve that time. Keep the soil moist but not wet to avoid seed rot, and mist the surface with a spray bottle until moist. The plant thrives in hot, dry summer areas. A dwarf pomegranate shrub offers orange and red blossoms through summer and golden yellow in fall, and the fruit is smaller with a different taste.

My new babay arrived safely and only lost two little leaves so far. The first one I ordered from different shop arrived with two leaves attached that fell off within ten minutes of unboxing and 22 leaves that had came off during shipping.
