Jamun Tree, also called Java Plum, Jambul, Black Plum, or Jambolan, is a tall evergreen tree in the Myrtaceae family. Native to India and naturalized in Southeast Asia and tropical regions worldwide, it is commonly grown as an ornamental shade tree with edible, dark purple fruits.
Jamun can reach 80–100 feet tall with a spreading crown. Fragrant cream-colored flowers bloom in spring and develop into plum-sized green fruits that ripen to dark purple. When ripe, the fruits are sweet and tangy and can be eaten fresh or used to make wine, vinegar, sauces, jams, jellies, or sorbets. They are valued for antioxidants, phytochemicals, and vitamin C. In Ayurveda, they are used to support digestion, help prevent diabetes, and act as a blood purifier. The tree thrives in tropical regions and is hardy in USDA zones 9–11, preferring moist, well-draining soils in full sun.

Good solution. The little flies have disappeared. We were sure to mist/moisten the surface of each plant once a day for 4 or 5 days, after the initial application of the nematodes, to keep the little guys mobile and able to get to any remaining eggs. So, go for it!

My new babay arrived safely and only lost two little leaves so far. The first one I ordered from different shop arrived with two leaves attached that fell off within ten minutes of unboxing and 22 leaves that had came off during shipping. So glad she arrived looking as beautiful as i was hoping. Also had a surprise red arrow syngonium cutting that’s beautiful. Also customer service was amazing. Will definitely order from them again. Hoghly recommend this shop.
