An antique hand-knotted rug from the Lori-Khoramabad region, dating to circa the 1980s. It is woven entirely with local wool and natural colors, featuring a wool pile and a wool foundation. The design presents a nature-inspired snake motif formed by four triangles that create a square, with each square nested inside a larger square connected like a rope. The Lor weaving tradition is described as being led by women, reflecting nomadic carpet craftsmanship in Lor.
Size is 4'3" x 6'10" with uneven edges (as shown in the last photo). It has a low pile and uses wool for both the pile and foundation. Made in: Persian.

My new babay arrived safely and only lost two little leaves so far. The first one I ordered from different shop arrived with two leaves attached that fell off within ten minutes of unboxing and 22 leaves that had came off during shipping.
