This timeless hand-knotted Bukharayi rug is crafted from 100% natural wool. It is new with full pile and measures 59” x 40” with a 0.5” thickness. Made in Mazar-Sharif, Northern Afghanistan, the design blends deep red and ivory tones with subtle gold accents, featuring intricate repeating patterns and symmetrical Bukharayi motifs. The piece is hand-made.
All hand-knotted rugs are professionally washed and treated, and each rug is individually inspected before leaving the warehouse. Afghan rugs are typically made from natural plant or animal fibers, such as silk, wool, cotton, jute, and sisal, and this rug uses 100% natural wool. Natural fibers cause color variations; no two rugs are exactly alike. The knotting technique—Turkish or Persian knots—provides strength and a naturally lustrous finish that enhances the design. The rug features a low, dense pile for durability and is well-suited for high-traffic spaces, including homes and commercial settings. It is an heirloom-quality piece that can be passed down.

My new babay arrived safely and only lost two little leaves so far. The first one I ordered from different shop arrived with two leaves attached that fell off within ten minutes of unboxing and 22 leaves that had came off during shipping. So glad she arrived looking as beautiful as i was hoping. Also had a surprise red arrow syngonium cutting that’s beautiful. Also customer service was amazing. Will definitely order from them again.
