SOLARIG™ 182, the 11 mil woven plastic cover for greenhouses and hoop houses, is the premier option for greenhouse coverings. Made from coated woven polyethylene with UV additives, it provides protection from degradation and added light diffusion for your plants. This greenhouse plastic works with spring and lock channel applications and can be cut to any length.
Key features include puncture and tear resistance, a weight of 5.1 oz per square yard, and a 6 year warranty. The sheet is laminated on both sides with four layers of thickness to enhance durability. It offers 88% light transmission and 60% matte / 35% shiny diffused light. Breaking strength is 96 lbs/in, elongation at break ≥18%, and tear strength 38 lbs. It can be used as a single or double-layer roof. Lead time for shipping is 14 business days. Batten Strapping is required to keep the plastic secure to the hoop house frame and reduces movement when installed on the exterior of a single-layer covered structure. The first one I ordered from different shop arrived with two leaves attached that fell off within ten minutes of unboxing and 22 leaves that had came off during shipping.
