The Green Caimito Tree, or Green Star Apple Tree, is a grafted tropical evergreen fruiting tree/shrub from South and Central America’s lowland jungles. It is also grown as an ornamental with glossy green leaves and bronze undersides. This green-skinned variety is the Caimito’s sister in the Sapotaceae family, related to Sapodilla and Canistel.
Known as Star Fruit for its star-shaped center when cut, the fruit ripens to softness and is eaten after discarding the green, inedible latex skin. Inside, it offers richly sweet flesh with purple pulp and black seeds and a jelly-like texture. Flavors resemble blueberries and lychee and are especially enjoyable when chilled.

My new babay arrived safely and only lost two little leaves so far. The first one I ordered from different shop arrived with two leaves attached that fell off within ten minutes of unboxing and 22 leaves that had came off during shipping. So glad she arrived looking as beautiful as i was hoping. Also had a surprise red arrow syngonium cutting that’s beautiful. Also customer service was amazing. Will definitely order from them again.
