Golden Shower Tree Cassia Fistula Indian Laburnum
The Golden Shower Tree (Cassia fistula) features yellow flowers that bloom in weeping clusters. Each cluster can contain about a dozen blossoms and the flowers are fragrant, helping attract pollinators.
It is hardy in USDA zones 9–12. Planting times vary by zone: in 10a, plant in spring to summer; in 10b–11, spring to autumn; in 12+, year-round. For best germination, soak seeds in 60–80°F warm water for 48 hours, sow in moist soil with high humidity in a sunny location, cover seeds 2–3 cm deep, and expect seedlings in 3–7 weeks. All cassia trees prefer a sunny location with well-drained soil.

My new babay arrived safely and only lost two little leaves so far. The first one I ordered from different shop arrived with two leaves attached that fell off within ten minutes of unboxing and 22 leaves that had came off during shipping.
