Florida Native Betony Plant for Meadows is a resilient native wildflower. Also known as Rattlesnake Weed or Florida Hedgenettle, it has square stems and soft pink to purple blooms that enliven meadows and garden beds across Florida.
Its underground tubers are crisp and segmented, resembling a rattlesnake’s rattle, and are edible with a radish-like crunch. Used by foragers and herbalists, the roots complement edible landscapes. The plant is pollinator friendly, tolerates a range of soils with good drainage, and should be spaced 12–18 inches apart. Harvest tubers in late winter to early spring when white and crisp.

Good solution. The little flies have disappeared. We were sure to mist/moisten the surface of each plant once a day for 4 or 5 days, after the initial application of the nematodes, to keep the little guys mobile and able to get to any remaining eggs. So, go for it!

My new babay arrived safely and only lost two little leaves so far. The first one I ordered from different shop arrived with two leaves attached that fell off within ten minutes of unboxing and 22 leaves that had came off during shipping. So glad she arrived looking as beautiful as i was hoping. Also had a surprise red arrow syngonium cutting that’s beautiful. Also customer service was amazing. Will definitely order from them again.
