Gold Nugget Tomato is a delightful cherry tomato variety with small, golden-yellow fruit and a mild, sweet flavor. Each plant yields an abundance of round, 1-inch tomatoes, ideal for snacking, salads, or garnishes. The plants are determinate, compact, and highly productive, delivering steady yields for early harvests. They thrive in full sun and well-draining soil and are well suited for container gardening. Developed by Dr. James Baggett at Oregon State University, Gold Nugget adds bright color to meals.
To support healthy growth, grow in fertile soil rich in organic matter with plenty of compost before planting; aim for soil pH 5.5 to 7.0. Water deeply and consistently to prevent blossom end rot. For planting, sow seeds in flats 6–8 weeks before the last frost and thin to 2 inches after the first true leaves appear; harden off before transplanting after the last frost. Harvest when individual fruits give slightly under finger pressure, with shoulders that may not yet have changed color.

My new babay arrived safely and only lost two little leaves so far. The first one I ordered from different shop arrived with two leaves attached that fell off within ten minutes of unboxing and 22 leaves that had came off during shipping. So glad she arrived looking as beautiful as i was hoping. Also had a surprise red arrow syngonium cutting that’s beautiful. Also customer service was amazing. Will definitely order from them again.
