Ficus carica, commonly known as the common fig, is a deciduous tree or large shrub in the Moraceae family. Native to western Asia and the Mediterranean, it has been cultivated for thousands of years for its edible fruit.
It can reach 10–30 feet in height with a similar spread. The bark is smooth and silvery-gray, and mature trees develop wide, twisting branches that give a sculptural quality. Leaves are large, palmate, up to 10 inches long, rough to the touch, with three to five deep lobes. Figs are 1–2 inches in diameter, and their shape ranges from round to elongated or pear-shaped; color can range from green to purple-black depending on variety. Figs are eaten fresh, dried, or used in cooking and baking, and the plant is also used ornamentally in landscaping for its distinctive branching and large leaves.

My new babay arrived safely and only lost two little leaves so far. The first one I ordered from different shop arrived with two leaves attached that fell off within ten minutes of unboxing and 22 leaves that had came off during shipping. So glad she arrived looking as beautiful as i was hoping. Also had a surprise red arrow syngonium cutting that’s beautiful. Also customer service was amazing. Will definitely order from them again.
