Early Straightneck Summer Squash Seeds Organic is a classic, dependable variety that yields smooth, bright yellow fruit with a mild, buttery flavor. Fruits reach about 5-6 inches long, with tender skin and firm, creamy flesh ideal for sautéing, grilling, or baking. The plants thrive in full sun in nutrient-rich, well-draining soil and mature in about 42-56 days, delivering an early, continuous harvest throughout the summer. Compact and highly productive, this variety is easy to grow for gardeners of all skill levels, and regular picking while fruits are small preserves flavor and encourages ongoing production. It is resistant to common diseases.
Fruits are uniform lemon-yellow, lightly warted, club-shaped and best harvested at 4-7 inches long. All American Selection winner in 1938. For best results, start seeds indoors 3-4 weeks before the last frost, or sow directly once soils reach 70F; provide deep mounds of organic matter, rich soil, and steady moisture. This crop is frost sensitive, so use mulch to heat soils in early spring and row covers to protect during short seasons.

My new babay arrived safely and only lost two little leaves so far. The first one I ordered from different shop arrived with two leaves attached that fell off within ten minutes of unboxing and 22 leaves that had came off during shipping.
