Dark Green 3-tray Vermicompost Worm composter converts kitchen organic waste into fertilizer for your garden. Designed for easy use, simply fill a working tray with well prepared bedding of coconut coir, compost worms, and food scraps. As the worms finish composting, they migrate upward into the tray above, leaving rich castings behind.
In ideal conditions, 2 lbs (1 kg) of worms can consume 1 lb (0.5 kg) of food scraps per day. A 3-tray system can house 6 lbs (3 kg) of worms. The bin is made from 100% recycled HDPE with air-ventilation for high-efficiency composting and minimum odor. It has a small footprint and is stackable and expandable. The package includes 3 working trays, 1 coconut coir brick (1.5 lbs), 2 drain clothes, and 1 worm tea spigot. Features include aeration holes, a latching lid, 1 access door, vents, drainage, and moisture control. Dimensions: overall 17W x 28H x 17D inches; each tray is 5.5 inches deep and 17 inches wide. The first one I ordered from different shop arrived with two leaves attached that fell off within ten minutes of unboxing and 22 leaves that had came off during shipping.
