Cryptolaemus montrouzieri are live adult beetles released as predators for mealybugs and soft scales. These dark brown beetles with orange heads move quickly and hunt eggs, crawlers, and adults, delivering biological control with no chemical residue.
Best results occur when released early at first signs of infestation. They target Citrus mealybugs (eggs, nymphs, adults), Comstock mealybugs (full lifecycle), Long-tailed mealybugs (all stages), other mealybugs, and soft scale crawlers. They are non-toxic to people, pets, pollinators, and plants, and are compatible with organic and regenerative systems. Rates: light infestations 1–2 beetles per sq ft; heavy infestations 2–4 per sq ft; greenhouse-scale 1,000–2,000 per acre; apply weekly or as needed. They survive above 50°F and begin feeding immediately; release onto infested plants early morning or evening, focusing on leaf nodes, undersides, and stem joints. My new babay arrived safely and only lost two little leaves so far. The first one I ordered from different shop arrived with two leaves attached that fell off within ten minutes of unboxing and 22 leaves that had came off during shipping. So glad she arrived looking as beautiful as i was hoping. Also had a surprise red arrow syngonium cutting that’s beautiful. Also customer service was amazing. Will definitely order from them again.
