The Celeste Fig Tree (Ficus carica 'Celeste') is a Southern classic known for its cold-hardiness and dependable productivity, delivering small, honey-flavored fruit. Also known as the Sugar Fig, it yields light brown to purplish-bronze skin with rosy-pink flesh that is rich, smooth, and ideal for fresh eating, drying, or preserves.
This self-fertile, early-fruiting variety performs well in hot, humid climates and mild winters, Zones 7–10. It resists splitting in wet conditions, is more cold-tolerant than many figs, and is compact enough to manage in southeastern gardens. My new babay arrived safely and only lost two little leaves so far. The first one I ordered from different shop arrived with two leaves attached that fell off within ten minutes of unboxing and 22 leaves that had came off during shipping. So glad she arrived looking as beautiful as i was hoping. Also had a surprise red arrow syngonium cutting that’s beautiful. Also customer service was amazing. Will definitely order from them again.
