This ornithologically designed, traditional-style Cedar Wood Birdhouse is built from reforested, kiln-dried inland red cedar. It is weather resistant and insect repelling, and assembled with rust-resistant zinc chromate screws to withstand temperature changes. It is ideal for Eastern, Western, and Mountain bluebirds and is fully assembled and ready to mount.
With a 1 1/2-inch entrance hole designed for eastern bluebirds, the home features a 5-by-5-inch base and a hole centered 6 inches above the floor to match bluebird dimensions. The easy-open front panel slides down for checking the progress of nesting birds without disturbing them and for quick cleaning. A 1/2-inch air ventilation gap sits at the top and a drain hole is at the base. The design discourages other species from invading the nesting area. My new babay arrived safely and only lost two little leaves so far. The first one I ordered from different shop arrived with two leaves attached that fell off within ten minutes of unboxing and 22 leaves that had came off during shipping. So glad she arrived looking as beautiful as i was hoping. Also had a surprise red arrow syngonium cutting that’s beautiful. Also customer service was amazing. Will definitely order from them again.
