Aphidoletes aphidimyza Live Nymphs are ready-to-hunt aphid predators delivered in the active nymph stage. Each nymph can kill up to 65 aphids per day, with feeding starting on contact and no pupation delay. Designed for greenhouses, gardens, and high-density crops, these predators require soil or substrate for pupation and should not be used on hydro or sterile surfaces. Optimal conditions are 50–88°F and moderate to high humidity, with releases in shaded or protected zones.
Targets over 60 aphid species, including black bean aphids (Aphis fabae), lettuce aphids (Nasonovia ribisnigri), melon/cotton aphids (Aphis gossypii), rose aphids (Macrosiphum rosae), potato aphids (Macrosiphum euphorbiae), and cherry and honeysuckle aphids. The bottle contains live nymph-stage predators ready to hunt on release; nymphs feed immediately and for 7–10 days before pupating in soil. Adults emerge in 10–14 days and restart the cycle. Use 1 nymph per 3 square feet for general prevention; 1,000–4,000 nymphs per acre for heavy outbreaks; spot-treat dense colonies and repeat weekly for 2–3 weeks. My new babay arrived safely and only lost two little leaves so far. The first one I ordered from different shop arrived with two leaves attached that fell off within ten minutes of unboxing and 22 leaves that had came off during shipping.
