This 9x12 Blue and Brown Persian Wool and Silk Rug is hand-knotted using handspun wool and bamboo silk. The color palette—rust, blue, and brown—draws on a legacy of heirloom rug designs, while the traditional pattern remains refined rather than busy. With 100 knots per square inch, the rug offers fine detail and lasting durability. Made in Bhadohi, India, one of the largest rug manufacturing cities, it sits within a centuries-long weaving tradition that dates back to the 16th century during Akbar's reign.
Hand-knotted rugs are durable and can last for decades if treated right. For care, avoid prolonged moisture; vacuum regularly and/or shake to remove dust; do not pull loose threads—use scissors to trim the ends; blot spills immediately with a white cloth; harsh chemicals may damage or fade the rug. My new babay arrived safely and only lost two little leaves so far. The first one I ordered from different shop arrived with two leaves attached that fell off within ten minutes of unboxing and 22 leaves that had came off during shipping. So glad she arrived looking as beautiful as i was hoping. Also had a surprise red arrow syngonium cutting that’s beautiful. Also customer service was amazing. Will definitely order from them again.
