This hand-knotted rug is crafted from handspun wool and bamboo silk in camel and blue tones. Produced in Bhadohi, India, where weaving traditions began in the sixteenth century under Emperor Akbar, the piece reflects generations of local artisan skill at a density of one hundred knots per square inch.
The traditional Persian pattern adds balanced color to any room while keeping the overall look uncluttered. Measuring three feet by seven feet eleven inches, the rug remains durable for decades when moisture is avoided, dust is removed regularly by vacuum or shaking, loose threads are trimmed rather than pulled, and spills are blotted at once with a white cloth.

The first one I ordered from different shop arrived with two leaves attached that fell off within ten minutes of unboxing and 22 leaves that had came off during shipping.
