1. Apparence : Les melons Tiger sont petits, pesant généralement environ 450 g chacun. Ils sont connus pour leur couleur extérieure vive et distinctive : un orange éclatant strié de rayures dentelées vert foncé ou jaunes, rappelant les rayures d’un tigre. Leur chair intérieure est orange pâle à blanche et renferme une cavité centrale remplie de graines.
2. Goût et arôme : Le goût du melon tigre est souvent décrit comme sucré et légèrement épicé ou acidulé, rappelant celui du cantaloup, mais avec un profil aromatique unique. Son arôme est puissant et parfumé, évoquant souvent une senteur florale.
3. Croissance : Les melons Tiger poussent sur une vigne, comme les autres melons, et préfèrent un climat chaud et ensoleillé. Ils ont généralement besoin de 80 à 90 jours pour arriver à maturité après la plantation.
