Le palmier dattier nain (Phoenix roebelenii), originaire d'Asie du Sud-Est, est un palmier compact et élégant qui atteint généralement une hauteur de 1,80 à 3,60 mètres. Ses palmes arquées et plumeuses ainsi que son tronc élancé le rendent idéal pour les petits jardins, les patios et les espaces intérieurs. Son feuillage vert luxuriant crée une ambiance tropicale, et la plante produit de petites dattes noires. Bien que comestibles, ces dattes sont rarement consommées en raison de leur petite taille et de leur faible teneur en chair, mais elles ajoutent une touche ornementale au palmier.
Ce palmier dattier nain prospère sous les climats tropicaux et subtropicaux, mais tolère les gelées légères. Il préfère un sol bien drainé et s'adapte à différents types de sols, du sableux au limoneux. Un arrosage régulier est essentiel, surtout pendant la période d'installation, bien que les plantes adultes puissent supporter une certaine sécheresse. Le palmier dattier nain apprécie le plein soleil ou la mi-ombre, et les plantes d'intérieur doivent être placées près d'une fenêtre bien éclairée pour recevoir suffisamment de lumière. Une taille minimale est nécessaire, principalement pour supprimer les palmes mortes ou jaunies, et il faut faire attention aux épines acérées situées à la base des palmes. L'application d'un engrais équilibré à libération lente pendant la période de croissance favorisera une croissance saine et un feuillage luxuriant.

Good solution. The little flies have disappeared. We were sure to mist/moisten the surface of each plant once a day for 4 or 5 days, after the initial application of the nematodes, to keep the little guys mobile and able to get to any remaining eggs. So, go for it!

My new babay arrived safely and only lost two little leaves so far. The first one I ordered from different shop arrived with two leaves attached that fell off within ten minutes of unboxing and 22 leaves that had came off during shipping. So glad she arrived looking as beautiful as i was hoping. Also had a surprise red arrow syngonium cutting that’s beautiful. Also customer service was amazing. Will definitely order from them again.
