Le plant de vigne muscadine 'Alachua' ( Vitis rotundifolia ) est une variété de muscadine noire très performante, développée ici même en Floride. Sélectionnée pour son incroyable douceur, sa couleur pourpre-noir intense et sa croissance vigoureuse, cette variété produit des raisins de taille moyenne à grande à la peau tendre, parfaits pour la consommation fraîche, les jus, les gelées ou même la vinification artisanale.
Contrairement à d'autres cépages, les muscadines sont originaires du sud-est des États-Unis et sont parfaitement adaptées aux climats chauds et humides. La variété « Alachua » est autofertile, c'est-à-dire qu'elle produit des fruits seule, et est reconnue pour son exceptionnelle résistance aux maladies, notamment à la maladie de Pierce et à l'oïdium.
Ces vignes prospèrent en plein soleil et dans un sol bien drainé, et grimpent rapidement sur les treillis, les tonnelles ou les clôtures. Elles produisent abondamment année après année et ne demandent que très peu d'entretien une fois bien installées. Idéales pour les jardins comestibles, les jardins pour la faune sauvage et les forêts-jardins du Sud !

Good solution. The little flies have disappeared. We were sure to mist/moisten the surface of each plant once a day for 4 or 5 days, after the initial application of the nematodes, to keep the little guys mobile and able to get to any remaining eggs. So, go for it!

My new babay arrived safely and only lost two little leaves so far. The first one I ordered from different shop arrived with two leaves attached that fell off within ten minutes of unboxing and 22 leaves that had came off during shipping. So glad she arrived looking as beautiful as i was hoping. Also had a surprise red arrow syngonium cutting that’s beautiful. Also customer service was amazing. Will definitely order from them again.
