L'origan jamaïcain ( Lippia micromera ) est une herbe tropicale très aromatique, prisée pour sa saveur intense rappelant l'origan, sa croissance compacte et ses vertus culinaires et médicinales tout au long de l'année. Malgré son nom, il ne s'agit pas d'un véritable origan, mais ses feuilles au goût prononcé et poivré sont très aromatiques, ce qui en fait un ingrédient incontournable de la cuisine caribéenne, où il est souvent utilisé dans les assaisonnements jerk, les ragoûts et les tisanes.
Originaire des Caraïbes et d'Amérique centrale, l'origan de Jamaïque prospère sous les climats chauds et ensoleillés. Il forme un couvre-sol dense et touffu ou un arbuste bas qui apporte texture, arôme et saveur aux jardins d'herbes aromatiques et aux forêts comestibles. Ses petites feuilles sont très parfumées ; une petite quantité suffit. Elles peuvent être utilisées fraîches ou séchées pour assaisonner les viandes, les légumineuses, les légumes, ou encore infusées dans des huiles et des vinaigres.
Outre ses usages culinaires, cette plante est utilisée depuis longtemps en médecine traditionnelle pour ses bienfaits sur la digestion, le soulagement du rhume et le renforcement du système immunitaire. Facile d'entretien et résistante à la sécheresse, elle est également une excellente plante compagne grâce à son arôme répulsif contre les insectes.

Worked like an absolute charm!
These markers were perfect for ones that we were replacing. The quality is great and they seem sturdy. The gold detail stands out and is visible from a distance. Shipping was very fast.
Good solution. The little flies have disappeared. We were sure to mist/moisten the surface of each plant once a day for 4 or 5 days, after the initial application of the nematodes, to keep the little guys mobile and able to get to any remaining eggs. So, go for it!

My new babay arrived safely and only lost two little leaves so far. The first one I ordered from different shop arrived with two leaves attached that fell off within ten minutes of unboxing and 22 leaves that had came off during shipping. So glad she arrived looking as beautiful as i was hoping. Also had a surprise red arrow syngonium cutting that’s beautiful. Also customer service was amazing. Will definitely order from them again. Hoghly recommend this shop.
