Le rare arbre à jaboticaba rouge (Jabuticaba) a une saveur similaire à celle du jaboticaba violet, mais avec une saveur tropicale plus vive.
Le jaboticaba, également appelé arbre à raisins du Brésil, est un petit arbre fruitier (ou arbuste) tout à fait unique, originaire du Brésil. Ses fruits, qui poussent directement sur le tronc, ont la taille et l'apparence d'un gros raisin (de 2,5 à 7,5 cm). Ils possèdent une peau astringente semblable à celle du raisin et une pulpe blanche, sucrée et au parfum de rose. Le jaboticaba se consomme généralement frais, mais on peut aussi l'utiliser pour faire des jus, des desserts, des confitures, ou même le faire fermenter pour produire du vin.
Le nom du jaboticaba (Plinia cauliflora) provient du mot tupi « jaboti », qui signifie tortue ou « graisse de tortue », en référence à la pulpe de son fruit. « Cauliflora » vient de « cauliflorous », indiquant que les fruits et les fleurs poussent directement sur l'écorce ou sous l'écorce, le long du tronc, des branches et des rameaux. Les branches sont nombreuses et dressées, formant généralement une cime dense, arrondie ou en forme de vase, et symétrique.

Good solution. The little flies have disappeared. We were sure to mist/moisten the surface of each plant once a day for 4 or 5 days, after the initial application of the nematodes, to keep the little guys mobile and able to get to any remaining eggs. So, go for it!

My new babay arrived safely and only lost two little leaves so far. The first one I ordered from different shop arrived with two leaves attached that fell off within ten minutes of unboxing and 22 leaves that had came off during shipping. So glad she arrived looking as beautiful as i was hoping. Also had a surprise red arrow syngonium cutting that’s beautiful. Also customer service was amazing. Will definitely order from them again.
