Le goyavier du Brésil ( Psidium angulatum ) est un arbre fruitier tropical rare et résistant, originaire des forêts atlantiques du Brésil et du nord de l'Amérique du Sud. Proche parent du goyavier commun, cette espèce est plus petite, plus robuste et très aromatique. Elle porte des grappes de fleurs blanches au parfum suave, suivies de fruits ronds, jaune doré, à la saveur acidulée et complexe. La pulpe tendre et juteuse du fruit se déguste fraîche, en jus, ou transformée en confitures et desserts. Son feuillage persistant dense et sa forme compacte en font un atout élégant et productif pour les jardins comestibles.
Importance culturelle et écologique
Dans son aire de répartition naturelle, le goyavier du Brésil (Psidium angulatum) pousse à l'état sauvage en lisière de forêt et dans les clairières, où il nourrit oiseaux, faune sauvage et communautés locales . Son fruit est apprécié sur les marchés ruraux brésiliens pour sa saveur tropicale rafraîchissante et entre dans la composition de confiseries et de jus traditionnels. À l'instar de nombreuses espèces indigènes de Psidium , le goyavier du Brésil joue un rôle écologique important : il favorise la pollinisation grâce à ses fleurs riches en nectar et contribue au reboisement des habitats tropicaux. Good solution. The little flies have disappeared. We were sure to mist/moisten the surface of each plant once a day for 4 or 5 days, after the initial application of the nematodes, to keep the little guys mobile and able to get to any remaining eggs. So, go for it!

My new babay arrived safely and only lost two little leaves so far. The first one I ordered from different shop arrived with two leaves attached that fell off within ten minutes of unboxing and 22 leaves that had came off during shipping. So glad she arrived looking as beautiful as i was hoping. Also had a surprise red arrow syngonium cutting that’s beautiful. Also customer service was amazing. Will definitely order from them again.
