Apprécié dans le monde entier, le poivre noir est une plante grimpante ligneuse vivace originaire d'Asie du Sud. Le Piper nigrum peut atteindre 4 mètres de hauteur et, grâce à ses tiges rampantes, il est idéal pour les treillis, les vérandas, les clôtures et les poteaux. Ses tiges s'enracinent facilement et s'accrochent au sol et aux surfaces, ce qui en fait une plante très facile à cultiver.
La vigne porte de petites fleurs qui donnent naissance à de longs épis (de 8 à 18 cm environ) de fruits rouge foncé. Ces drupes, communément appelées grains de poivre, poussent en grappes de 20 à 30. Cueillis et séchés au soleil ou artificiellement, ils sont ensuite concassés pour obtenir du poivre. La couleur du poivre varie selon la période de récolte et de séchage : poivre noir, blanc ou vert. Le poivre noir prospère dans les sols bien drainés et humides. Il exige un sol riche en nutriments, mais tolère bien l’altitude. C’est même une excellente plante d’intérieur sous les climats tempérés.

Good solution. The little flies have disappeared. We were sure to mist/moisten the surface of each plant once a day for 4 or 5 days, after the initial application of the nematodes, to keep the little guys mobile and able to get to any remaining eggs. So, go for it!

My new babay arrived safely and only lost two little leaves so far. The first one I ordered from different shop arrived with two leaves attached that fell off within ten minutes of unboxing and 22 leaves that had came off during shipping. So glad she arrived looking as beautiful as i was hoping. Also had a surprise red arrow syngonium cutting that’s beautiful. Also customer service was amazing. Will definitely order from them again.
