L'avocatier Choquette est une variété autofertile de Persea americana, créée par Remi D. Choquette Sr. à Miami, en Floride. Appartenant à la famille des Lauracées, comme tous les avocatiers , cet arbre fruitier tropical/subtropical à feuilles persistantes est une variété tardive, produisant d'abondantes récoltes de la fin de l'automne à l'hiver, avec des fruits pesant environ 1,4 kg chacun.
Pouvant atteindre 9 mètres de haut, l'avocatier Choquette occupe moins d'espace que certaines variétés d'avocatiers plus grandes, ce qui en fait un excellent choix pour une forêt comestible souhaitant optimiser la surface. De plus, il est relativement résistant au froid, supportant des températures jusqu'à -4 °C. Magnifique à admirer en fleurs, l'arbre se couvre de petites fleurs jaune-vert et d'un feuillage dense.
Surnommé affectueusement « poire alligator » ou « avocat de Floride » en raison de son origine, l’avocat Choquette produit des fruits vert foncé, brillants et faciles à peler. Sous sa peau coriace se cache une chair riche et onctueuse, légèrement parfumée à l’ananas, idéale pour les smoothies, le guacamole, les masques pour le visage ou tout simplement sur une tartine !

Good solution. The little flies have disappeared. We were sure to mist/moisten the surface of each plant once a day for 4 or 5 days, after the initial application of the nematodes, to keep the little guys mobile and able to get to any remaining eggs. So, go for it!

My new babay arrived safely and only lost two little leaves so far. The first one I ordered from different shop arrived with two leaves attached that fell off within ten minutes of unboxing and 22 leaves that had came off during shipping. So glad she arrived looking as beautiful as i was hoping. Also had a surprise red arrow syngonium cutting that’s beautiful. Also customer service was amazing. Will definitely order from them again.
